What is doMahan?
doMahan is a free Android day planner where every task is a coloured sticky note. It covers reminders, daily tasks, shopping and misc lists, an expense tracker, a calendar of how each day went, achievements and a daily journal. You swipe a note up when it is done and down when it is not.
Is doMahan free?
Yes. doMahan is free to download and use, and it has no ads.
Is there a paid version or subscription?
No. There is no subscription and nothing to unlock. Every feature on this website is in the free app.
Which phones does doMahan work on?
Any Android phone running Android 8.0 or newer, anywhere in the world. There is no iPhone version yet.
Can I add tasks by voice?
Yes. Tap the microphone and say it the way you would tell a friend, for example "call mom tomorrow at 6 pm". doMahan fills in the card, shows you what it understood, and you tap Save.
Which languages does doMahan understand?
The app's screens are in English. Voice and typed input understand days, times and amounts in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Hinglish (Hindi written in English letters, like "kal shaam 6 baje doctor"). In other languages your words still become the card, and you set the time with a tap.
Is doMahan a good to-do app for Hinglish speakers?
Yes. It was built to understand mixed Hindi and English the way people in India actually type and talk, so "kal subah 9 baje gym" becomes a reminder for tomorrow at 9 am.
Does doMahan track expenses?
Yes. You log a spend in a few seconds by typing or speaking (for example "spent $12 on lunch"). It sorts spending into categories, including Lending for money you lend to friends, and shows totals and a monthly budget.
Which currencies does it support?
Your own. doMahan starts with your phone's local currency, and you can switch to dollars, euros, pounds, rupees, reais, yen and more than 20 others in Profile.
Does doMahan read my SMS or bank messages?
No. doMahan never asks for SMS, contacts or location permissions. You add expenses yourself, which keeps your messages private.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Adding, swiping, reminders, expenses and the journal all work offline. If you use the optional backup, it syncs the next time you are online.
Do I need an account?
No. doMahan works without any account. Signing in with Google is optional and free, and only used to back up your notes so you can restore them on a new phone. Only your account can read the backup.
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile and tap Delete my account. Your account and your whole cloud backup are deleted straight away. If you no longer have the app, the steps are at domahan.com/delete-account.
What does swiping down do?
Swiping down marks a note as not done today. doMahan keeps an honest record instead of quietly hiding skipped tasks, and the calendar shows each day in green, red or a bit of both. You can also move a daily task to tomorrow in one swipe.
Does doMahan have a journal?
Yes. Every day gets one notepad page with a mood, search and an "On this day" view of past entries.
How is doMahan different from Google Keep or Microsoft To Do?
Those are great general note and list apps. doMahan is a focused daily planner. Your day is a small stack of notes you clear, with an honest done or not-done record, expenses and a journal in the same app, and voice input that understands Hinglish and four European languages. There is a fuller comparison at domahan.com/compare.
