An honest comparison of doMahan with Google Keep, Microsoft To Do and Todoist. What each app is best at, and who should pick which, for planning a normal day on Android.

Google Keep, Microsoft To Do and Todoist are all good apps used by millions of people. doMahan is not trying to replace all of them for everyone. It is built for one job: planning a normal day without the list taking over. This page sets out the differences as fairly as we can, so you can pick what suits you.

Pick doMahan if

  • Your to-do list usually turns into a guilt list by mid-morning, and you want a small, clearable stack for today.
  • You want an honest record of your days, not just a list of ticks.
  • You'd like reminders, groceries, spending and a few lines of journal in one free app.
  • You speak to your phone in Hinglish, Spanish, Portuguese, French or German and want it to understand "tomorrow at 6".
  • You want it to work offline, with no account unless you choose a backup.

Pick something else if

  • You need iPhone, desktop or web access today. doMahan is Android only for now.
  • You manage team projects, shared lists or long task trees. Todoist and Microsoft To Do are built for that.
  • You mostly save ideas, links and photos rather than plan your day. Google Keep is a great home for those.

Which is better for a simple daily to-do list, doMahan or Google Keep?

If you want quick notes and checklists that live next to everything else you save, Google Keep is excellent. If you want a short list for today that you clear one card at a time, with an honest record of what got done and what didn't, doMahan is built for exactly that.

Is doMahan a Todoist alternative?

For personal daily planning, yes. Todoist is stronger for big projects, teams and long task trees. doMahan is lighter and keeps reminders, groceries, expenses and a journal together, with no subscription.

Can doMahan replace a separate expense tracker app?

For everyday spending, often yes. You log a spend in a few seconds by typing or voice, in any currency, with categories and a monthly budget. It is not accounting software and does not connect to banks.
